I’ve been running the game on my Lumia 640 XL since it came out and I haven’t had any major issues yet. I grabbed all this info and compiled the list above from the 2 Wikipedia sources. If anyone wants to chime in with Windows phones that it does work on or the WP's the game does not work on or correct any info I have provided above, please do so as I would like to make sure this list is complete and accurate. Granted, some of these brands/phones, many people may not have ever heard of them before, these could be international phones, or country specific phones. Pipo U8T (Comes in 1GB or 2GB revision, if you happen to search for this one, make sure it has 2GB of memory, again, with 2GB of memory, it may not work with Minecraft) Zebra TC70x (Comes in 2GB of 4GB memory revisions)Īlso there is a supposed Windows Phone Tablet that can run it: Janam XT2 (Comes in 1GB or 2GB revision, if you happen to search for this one, make sure it has 2GB of memory, again, with 2GB of memory, it may not work with Minecraft)

List of Additional Windows Phones that *MIGHT* work but not guaranteed due to processor, speed, etc, but has 2GB of memory or more: Lumia 1020 (Lumia 1020 has 2GB of memory but its showing that the latest official update for the phone is Windows 8.1 Mobile "GDR1", not sure if it can be updated unofficially to Win 10 Mobile). Lumia 929/Lumia Icon (Same phone but went by 2 different names) The only Lumia Windows Phones that should work is the: If so, that knocks out a lot of the Windows Phones that did run this and with the trend of how Minecraft is pumping out new updates the past few years, Im guessing the 1GB Windows Phones, including the Lumia line may not work with the game anymore which would include the additional Lumia Models: Specific Models that users are experiencing problems with:Īccording to the wiki page, the 640, 640XL, 650 and 735 only has 1GB of ram.

I have noticed that most of the platforms that I have played this on so far ranging from the Android version to Kindle Fire, iOS, etc, it seems more resource extensive and making devices that are using old specs/budget devices perform poorly or crash, thus, I have a good suspicion that it needs more then 1GB of memory now but this thread it purely focusing on the Windows Phone platform. I have noticed a few people have mentioned since the "Update 1.16.0: Nether Update" that released that gamers are having trouble where the game does not run or it runs but crashes when trying to start a game.
